ELMO Connectivity and Usage Procedures

Solution Using the ELMO system in Brescia Multimedia Classrooms

The following Multimedia Classrooms have ELMO projection systems available for use:
111A, 229A, 233A, 340A(CRC Lab), 108L, 301L, 126S, 226S

1. Power on the Overhead Projector and the VCR Unit

2. Verify that the VCR channel is set to AV (AV is the channel immediately before channel 1)

3.Push the mode button on the overhead projector and/or the projector remote until it is set to video 1.

4. Power on the ELMO unit by flipping the main power switch on the left hand side of the ELMO near the rear of the unit.

5. Push the unlock button on the ELMO unit and gently pull upward on the lens arm to raise the ELMO lens into place.

6. Raise the two side lamps by pulling gently up on them.

7. Power on the ELMO lamp by pushing the on/off button
labeled Lamp (upper)

8. Verify that the input section of the ELMO is set to internal

9. Adjust the zoom and focus as necessary

**IF THE VCR IS NOT POWERED ON AND SET TO THE AV CHANNEL THE ELMO WILL NOT WORK.

**IF THE OVERHEAD PROJECTOR MODE IS NOT SET TO VIDEO 1 THE ELMO WILL NOT WORK

Shutting down the ELMO System

1. Power off the ELMO by flipping the main power switch on the left hand side of the unit to the off setting. Give the lamps about 30 seconds to completely shut off before continuing to step 2.

2. Lower the 2 side lamps by pushing down on them gently.

3. Lower the lens by pressing the unlock button and pushing down on the lens arm gently.
