How do I set Windows Updates to run automatically?

Solution With Windows XP you can setup your computer to automatically download and install the latest security patches and files from Microsoft's Windows Update webpage.

To do so, follow these steps:

Click the 'Start' button, go to the 'Control Panel'.
Double click on 'System'.
Click on the 'Automatic Updates' tab.
Make sure the first check box is selected that says "keep my computer up to date..."
From there you have 3 options of how you want Windows to handle your Windows Updates.
Choose one that you wish to use and click 'Ok' when finished.
